Shasta Green is happy teaching high school in a tiny Virginia town, but she’s lonely. Her last date was great—except the guy across from her didn’t agree. When a coworker suggests she consider the nerdy history teacher, she’s not convinced until he runs into her in the hallway. Literally.

When Hunter Mitchell slams into Claywood High School’s science teacher, sending her sprawling to the floor, he is mortified. Especially since he’s been trying to get her attention for months. This is not the way he imagined doing so. How he walks away with a date for the next day, he doesn’t understand, but he’s not complaining!
