When Mitch Samas, Colonel of the Coronado’s Finest merc unit, accepted a the contract, it seemed like exactly the kind of mission his sailors trained for. Their specially modified Leviathan CASPer suits allowed them to operate just as comfortably in water as they did on land, which gave them an edge few saw coming.

When the Torokar—cyberphile dinosaur-like alien mercs—stole a prototype CASPer Mark 9, searching for the secret of the powered armor’s deadliness, it was up to Mitch and his operators to sneak in, isolate the research facility, seize the suit, and make their getaway.

And then the Omega War kicks off, and it gets really complicated.

Coronado’s Finest is a ~20 000 word novella set in the Four Horsemen Universe, published by Seventh Seal Press. It was originally published in two parts—The Humans Inside, in the Luck Is Not A Factor anthology, and Dead Men Walking, in the Negotiation anthology.
