The monster leaned down until his broad nose almost touched my own and I felt my eyes widening as I struggled to take in his heavy features, cherry red skin, and the long, pointed horns that crowned his head.

Those yellows eyes seemed to fill my vision until I swore I was staring into the sun and hot breath skated over my face as the alien bared his teeth and snarled,

“Be still or die!”

My brain screamed at me to fight for my life, to run as far from the terrifying alien that held me as I could, but my body betrayed me. My muscles went limp and I let out a humiliating whimper as the horned beast squeezed me tighter to his chest and hauled me into the darkness.
